iOS 26 Streamlines Apple Music Replay

iOS 26 improves the Apple Music Replay viewing experience.

Apple Music Replay iOS 26
As spotted by Hidde Collee and others, Apple Music Replay is now a completely native feature on iOS 26. This means that you can see your monthly and yearly listening statistics directly in the Apple Music app, rather than in a popover web view.

This change is minor in the grand scheme of things, but for many Apple Music enthusiasts, it is a long-awaited improvement.

Apple Music Replay is similar to Spotify Wrapped, showcasing the top songs and artists that you listen to each year, complete with a year-end highlight reel.

Apple Music Replay is available for most of the year, though.

A corresponding Apple Music Replay playlist is available in the Apple Music app, at the bottom of the Home tab. The playlist lists the 100 songs that you have listened to the most as the year progresses, and it is updated on a weekly basis until the end of the year. At that point, the playlist for that particular year becomes final.

iOS 26 is currently in beta, and the update should be released in September.

I’ve been doing top 70-100 songs by year playlists since 2010 with my own Smart Playlists on the desktop Music app (iTunes).

You just have to edit the "Plays is greater than" count if you want to increase or decrease the playlist size.

Apple Engineers hear the Signals, we need a Spotify connect feature for Apple Music. That should be top priority. If you really care about power users and audio enthusiasts you know that Airplay can’t transfer High-Resolution music.
AirPlay is annoying to stream music, often music stops because some other audio/video starts at the phone. It’s just such a bad experience. Don’t be stubborn, Spotify connect is a simple feature that works so well, just copy it.

It would be useful if Apple would introduce (drum roll alloved) a Music Connect feature, like Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and many other music streaming services have, so that the iPhone would be used only as a remote control and the streaming would be done through a separate streamer connected to the home audio system.
But as usual, Apple is ten years behind!

Don't think this works if the music is not in your library.

Very happy to see that it is available in-app now. Wonder why it took very long time for it to be available.

I don't know if I'm the only one but my most played song has got to be the first one alphabetically, from whenever my iphone just randomly decides to start playing my whole library alphabetically.
That sounds preferable to what happens to me, which is Siri deciding to answer a request with a song that I wouldn't add to my library under threat of death and dismemberment
