iPhone 17 Pricing Expectations

The market research company expects the regular iPhone 17 model to have the same $799 starting price and 128GB base storage as last year's iPhone 16, while both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with 256GB base storage options and increases of $50-$100 per comparable capacity. The full iPhone 17 lineup pricing could break down like so:

Model 128GB 256GB 512GB 1TB

Please lord let the base model be 120hz so I can downgrade from the ugly pro model. Pro model looks OK in it's current form but if the new design is true it's simply too ugly to buy. Base model has best camera placement and best colours, only thing been holding me back is the lame 60hz screen.
The Pro really is ugly and has been since the 11, but it looks like it will get worse. I think the 16e is the best looking model, at the moment.

I don't think people will like that price jump for the pro model, especially since last year was $999 and this year it $1199. If that happens, I won't be getting the 17 Pro. I usually get a new iPhone every year since the iPhone 11 was released, but with that price increase, I might keep my 16 Pro another year or two.

You’ve been replacing a perfectly good ~$1000 phone every year for the past 6 years, for only marginal changes in experience, and only now are questioning whether that is smart/sustainable because the price is going up $100-200?
