‌macOS Tahoe‌ features Apple's Liquid Glass redesign, which extends across all of the new updates this year. Apple also brought the Phone and Journal apps to the Mac for the first time, and introduced a new cross-platform Games app.

With the update, Apple overhauled how Spotlight works, enabling new functionality that allows it to be used to complete all kinds of actions like sending emails without having to open up an app. There are also changes to a number of apps, including Messages, Safari, and Notes.

All of the new features that are included in ‌macOS Tahoe‌ are outlined in our dedicated roundup.

‌macOS Tahoe‌ is set to launch this fall.

My personal opinion, it still looks bland - some of the best looking IMO versions of macOS were before this whole flatness, and garish colors were implemented - 10.8 was the last classy and good looking version...

Compare that to what we have now...it's just ugh...ugly....and I wish I could go back and use all the apps I need on that 10.8 system.

The rounded corners are beautiful and modern, as is the design of the Liquid Glass. If you don't agree, feel free to use Windows 10 with square corners.
"modern" is entirely subjective. Why must I use another OS just because I think the new theme is terrible? Apple should productize their theming engine and let user decide. Then everybody wins.

I still remember Greg Federighi saying how gorgeous it looks. I'm still trying to see it. This is the most controversial UI design move I have from Apple in the last 25 years. I wish I could turn this off or at least to be able to choose my own transparency setting.
