YouTube Crashing on iPhone? Here's Google's Surprisingly Simple Fix

Google acknowledged widespread issues after complaints flooded Reddit's r/YouTube community this week about app crashes and playback errors.

The company initially suggested the delete-and-reinstall approach as temporary troubleshooting advice, but that "fix" has now become official guidance for iOS users even though the underlying bugs are reportedly resolved.

So if you're one of those unfortunate enough to have issues, nuke the app entirely and download it fresh from the App Store [Direct Link]. It's like the digital equivalent of unplugging it and plugging it back in.

The good news is that it actually works. The bad news is that you'll lose any downloaded videos and need to sign back in. Still, it's a small price to pay for a working YouTube.
