Apple Announces CarPlay Updates With Widgets, Live Activities, and More
Apple today unveiled an update coming to CarPlay, which will support the company's new "Liquid Glass" design to align with updates coming to iOS 26 later this year.

Apple said that the new design includes a new compact view for incoming calls that allows users to see who's calling without blocking key information like upcoming directions.
Apple is also introducing the ability to quickly send Tapbacks and pinned conversations in Messages, as well as support for Widgets and Live Activities. All of these updates are also coming to CarPlay Ultra.
