iPad 11's Leaked Specs Are Surprisingly Good
Apple's next-generation entry-level iPad could provide surprisingly good value.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPad 11 will be equipped with the A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM. That means Apple's cheapest iPad model would have the same chip and unified memory as the latest iPad mini.
Apple Intelligence is to thank for these rumored upgrades, as the A17 Pro and 8GB of RAM are currently the minimum iPad specs for those AI features.
The current iPad 10 has an A14 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM.
There is one potential caveat in regards to the iPad 11's value. When the iPad 10 launched in October 2022, it started at $449 in the U.S. at the time. Apple then lowered the iPad 10's starting price to $349 in May 2024. It is unclear if the iPad 11 will start at $349, or if the base price will return to $449. Either way, it would still be a good value and it should remain cheaper than the iPad mini, which starts at $499.
Gurman expects the iPad 11 models to be released this "spring," so a March or April launch is likely based on that timeframe.
