Get the AirTag 4-Pack for the All-Time Low Price of $69.99 on Amazon

Today we're tracking the return of an all-time low price on Apple's AirTag 4-Pack, which has hit $69.99 on Amazon, down from $99.00. This deal was first introduced during Black Friday back in November, and we've only seen it return twice so far since then.

Amazon provides an estimated early January delivery date for most residences in the United States, and you won't need to clip an on-page coupon in order to see this deal. If you're shopping for just one AirTag, Amazon has the AirTag 1-Pack for $22.99, which is about $3 higher compared to that model's record low price.

They've been this price many times before. Please stop using these "all-time low" clickbait headlines. "All-time low" has a strong connotation to new lows, not the same low it's been many times before.

It works just fine for such uses.

I followed the easy (online) instructions to remove the "pill" speaker in hopes of getting the benefit that moved me to buy them in the first place: the potential to at least be able to point police to where the car or bike is located if stolen. However, yesterday, I went for a ride in the car with bluetooth off and I could hear this faint "cricket" sound coming from it. A second speaker? Anyone know how to fully silence these things?

That prime benefit has also been undermined by the evolution of the software to alert those with iDevices in proximity know that they may be being tracked (stalked). So now, even if someone knows a way to eliminate the cricket sound, the prime use of assisting against theft is conceptually undermined by alerting the thieves to the proximity of such a device.

Of course, I fully get the stalking issue and why the software has evolved. But for probably most uses (like how I wish to use mine), that solution is like the bad guys winning. Bad guy stalkers have basically helped bad guy thieves protect themselves from arrest by letting them easily know what they've stolen has one of these on board.

And please defenders: I KNOW that this is NOT the original intent of these things. Nevertheless, it's the main reason I opted to buy them. If I knew when I bought them things would go this way, I would NOT have purchased them... as this was just about ALL of what I wanted from them.

Good discount for the pack of 4 and also don't think the price will reduce even further. Need not wait for the upcoming version. Plan on getting these. But don't need four of these. Might buy separately.

~snip~ Anyone know how to fully silence these things?

I'm with your on all your points! Just to answer the above (hopefully!):

To quote the description:
UPDATE: Some users are reporting that they can hear a very faint sound when they hold the AirTag up to their ear, even after removing the voice coil's magnet. I hypnotized that other metal parts (or the battery) were reacting to the wire coil's electromagnetic field. YouTuber Liang-Chi Wuu reports that cutting the coil wires in addition to removing the magnet completely silences the AirTag without any negative effects on the AirTag's performance. If total silence is your goal, simply reopen the AirTag (good thing you didn't need to glue it back together ;) ) and cut the coil wires. Thanks for the tip Liang-Chi Wuu!

I have read the same to on Reddit, I've not done it with mine yet but it is on the to-do list.

They were also on sale for $69 at Staples at the end of last year, so $69.99 isn't a match for the all-time low either.
