Customers can now place their orders through Apple's regional online store, which details pricing options, storage configurations, and additional accessories including ZEISS optical inserts for vision correction. To support the launch, Apple's two retail locations in Taipei will offer 30-minute demonstration sessions, allowing potential customers to experience the device firsthand.

The Taiwan launch represents Apple's thirteenth market for Vision Pro, following its initial U.S. debut in February 2024. The company has steadily expanded the headset's availability throughout the year, with releases in major markets including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore during the summer months. More recently, Apple brought Vision Pro to South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

It’s incredible how quick the haters are to respond. As if they had nothing to do, just camp out waiting for a mention of the AVP to appear so they can spread their hate.
I guess that’s the world we live in now.

Why even need a pre order? They will be lucky if 10 customers sign up.

Any reaction is better than none - the more the haters bump the klicks the more attraction the product gets - personally I think it is the easiest marketing since it attracts simple minds ;)

…And? Completely different computing device categories.

You’re free to enjoy/prefer certain device categories for your computing needs without needing to care about a device category—especially you don’t seem to be the demographic it’s for (i.e. people who are only or primarily interested in VR for AAA gaming are NOT the target audience of the Vision Pro).
Tim Cook hyped this device for years, making it seem like this was going to be his iPhone moment. That's why I'm comparing. Realistically, this product could still fail to take off. Having a couple of enthousiasts never guarantees that Apple will keep it in production, otherwise iPhone mini and iMac Pro would still be in production.

Won't deny that it is technically and even visually a stunning product that I'd love to try out some time when it arrives to where I live. Who knows, maybe in a few years we won't even remember the struggles of the first generation and we'll all be wearing these at our place of work and on the couch at home just like in the commercials.
