Apple Seeds Second visionOS 2.1 Update to Developers

Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming visionOS 2.1 update to developers for testing purposes, with the new software coming a week after Apple seeded the first visionOS 2.1 beta.

visionOS 2 Feature 1
Registered developers are able to opt into the betas by opening up the Settings app on their device, going to the Software Update Section, tapping on the "Beta Updates" option, and toggling on the Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta.

There's no word yet on what's included in visionOS 2.1, but there are visionOS 2 features that Apple has not yet released, such as the option to use a larger ultrawide screen for the Mac Virtual Display and support for Multiview for MLS and MLB games.

That virtual ultra-wide screen is THE signature feature IMO. Having switched to using a real-world ultra-wide when I went the Silicon separates approach, there is no coming back to traditional (near) square screens such as the old iMac 27" screen my new one replaced.

But since it is too big to easily go everywhere I do, the ability to summon it or even bigger would be incredible in a relatively small, mobile package like Vpro. Again IMO: this seems better than other attempts at bigger mobile screens like folds/rolls.

I hope that feature works very well and look forward to trying it myself.

Installed both new Vision OS Beta and Sequoia Beta. No Ultra Wide screen feature.

Edit: I can do both Virtual Mac display and Display mirroring from MacBook Pro at the same time tho?
I got 2 floating screens from my MBP if I use display extended on display mirroring + Virtual Mac display.

Edit2 for picture:

I am having some issues going on the second screen bc the mouse cursor reverts back to being a pointer when I look at it but its working good enough

This is really an old joke. You have our permission to get a life now and stop saying this over and over.

I feel like ultra wide support is going to get delayed because Vision Pro gets next to no love from Apple. The itch to sell mine grows daily. Please impress me Apple.
