Apple Vision Pro's Killer New Feature Coming Later This Year
Apple released visionOS 2 for the Vision Pro this week following months of beta testing, but there is one killer new feature that isn't available right away.

In a press release this week, Apple reiterated that an ultra-wide version of the Mac Virtual Display feature on the Vision Pro is coming later this year. The feature will be enabled in an upcoming software update, such as visionOS 2.1 or visionOS 2.2.
Apple said the "expandable, ultra-wide" virtual display on visionOS will be equivalent to two physical 4K displays sitting side by side on a desk.
Mac Virtual Display will then be available in three sizes: Normal, Wide, and Ultrawide.
The feature debuted as part of visionOS 1, allowing the Vision Pro to be used as an external display for a Mac. The feature will still only be compatible with a single Mac display, but it was alleged earlier this year that Apple software engineers are or were able to use the feature with two Mac displays on internal software.
