The visionOS beta can be downloaded by going to the Settings app on the device and toggling on developer betas. A registered developer account is required, and Apple recommends making a backup before installing new software.

Apple may make further improvements to Personas, EyeSight, and other features with visionOS 1.2, as well as implement additional bug fixes. We'll update this article when we discover what's new in the software.

All the feedback I've read has stated that the 2.0 beta is much better than 1.2 release version, and that Apple should release it asap. I haven't been able to try it yet for myself. But I will skip the 1.3 beta and go directly to the 2.0 beta.
Yes, I’m on the 2.0 beta and don’t see a reason to go back to 1.3

I installed the visionOS 2.0 beta last week and it’s been smooth sailing for me. I wouldn’t want to go back now that I’ve got my Home Screen setup just the way I want it with some iPad apps previously stuck in the Compatible Apps area moved out of there and on the Home Screen right where I want them.

Having the ability to turn any photo into a spatial photo is pretty cool as well!!! It’ll be sweet if they figure out a way to do something similar with 2D videos I shot before spatial video was an option I had and started using after I bought the AVP and decided to keep it. It’ll never be the same just like the previously 2D photos aren’t the same as actual spatial photos but it’s the next best thing!

There’s other stuff that’s nice about the v2.0 beta as well but that’s for a different thread. The bottom line is that if you’re going to install a beta I don’t see the point in installing this one unless there’s a show stopper I’m not aware of.

Not surprising.

iOS 16.6 came out in July, I believe while iOS 17 was still in Beta testing.

Are you able to use it to connect a USB Flash drive or SSD like you can with an iPad?
I haven't tried but I don't believe so. My understanding (and only use of it so far) is connecting it to a Mac. It was easy to install and easy to Restore using Apple Configurator.
