iMac: What to Know
Apple last updated the 24-inch iMac with the M3 chip in October 2023. Other new features included Wi-Fi 6E support with a compatible router, Bluetooth 5.3, and an increased maximum of 24GB of unified memory (up from 16GB).

Apple plans to release a new 24-inch iMac with the M4 chip "around the end of the year," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. With the M4 chip, the next iMac is expected to offer modestly faster CPU performance, and the chip might also have a faster Neural Engine for artificial intelligence tasks.
No other major upgrades or design changes have been rumored for the next 24-inch iMac yet.
Apple ruled out a 27-inch iMac with Apple silicon, but a 32-inch iMac with Apple silicon and a mini-LED display is rumored to launch in late 2024 or in 2025.
