Apple Welcomes Developers to New YouTube Channel for WWDC Videos

Apple this week shared an introductory video for its new Apple Developer channel on YouTube, where developers will be able to watch WWDC 2024 sessions in June.

"The Apple Developer channel is where coders, students, and creatives of all kinds stay up to date on the latest Apple software, technologies, and platforms," says Apple. "Subscribe and watch our latest videos from the Worldwide Developers Conference and beyond."

Apple has already uploaded a collection of WWDC 2023 videos to the channel in up to 4K quality.

WWDC 2024 runs from June 10 through June 14, and the session videos will also continue to be shared on the Apple Developer website and app. During the event, Apple is expected to announce iOS 18 and many other software updates.

Why does the font look a little weird?

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the new system font, since there’s been all the talk about whatever huge redesign is coming with this year’s updates.
It’s the same San Francisco typeface they already use. They designed San Francisco as a flexible font so that they can customize any number of features like the width of letters and thickness of the stroke, like they did here. They probably have some other customizations like x-height, ascender/descender height, slant angle, etc.

You can also see a flexible San Francisco variant in the Apple Watch Ultra’s Modular Ultra face, if you use one of the styles with seconds and have always-on display enabled as well. When you raise your wrist, the digital time’s font is condensed to make room for seconds and expanded again when the display goes to its inactive state.

I'm actually getting hyped for WWDC this year!!!

Can't wait to see iOS 18 + hoping for updated Mac accessories with USB-C, hopefully an updated mouse with charging that makes sense and [not ever gonna give up on this] backlit keys on the keyboard.
