Sonos Offers Rare Discounts on Home Theater Audio Equipment Ahead of Super Bowl

Sonos has kicked off its first major sale of 2024, offering up to $340 off select home theater audio equipment through February 11. This includes record low prices on the Sonos Arc soundbar ($719), as well as various discounted bundles, all of which are deals we haven't tracked since the holidays.

This sale is mainly focused on Sonos product bundles that should help elevate your home theater setup with various soundbars, subwoofers, and speakers. The only two products available outside of a bundle are the Sonos Arc for $719 ($180 off) and Sonos Sub Gen 3 for $639 ($160 off).

Sonos very rarely offers discounts this steep on its website, so it'll likely be quite a long time before these sales return after this sale ends on February 11. We've accumulated a few of the devices in the sale below, but be sure to browse this landing page on the Sonos website for everything being discounted.

Head to our full Deals Roundup to get caught up with all of the latest deals and discounts that we've been tracking over the past week.

"Rare discount"? Since when has Macrumors become clickbait? Sonos often offers 10-20% off, basically every reason you can think of: Christmas, Black Friday, now Super Bowl, you name it.

I've been keeping an eye out for an Arc (which I now have) and some additional speakers for over 2 years now and they've got discounts quite often I can guarantee you.

This sounds like a Sonos written article/sponsorship.

Sonos has been regularly discounting now for years, especially since the new app/bricking debacle.
I was a regularly purchaser and advocate of their equipment until then.

If you want an easy discount, you can buy certain models second hand and then use that to get up to a 30% upgrade discount on a new item (assuming the upgrade hasn't already been used), then sell back on the old item

Sonos user here, better deals to be had from B&H or Adorama.
Overall, I'm happy with my home setup, most of it purchased 2nd hand on FB Marketplace for more than 60% off.

My setup consists of:

Living Room - Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, One SL's as surrounds.
Basement TV Room - Sonos Arc, Sub Mini, One's as surrounds.
Bathroom - Sonos One
Outside Screened in Porch - Sonos One

Easily covers our 3000 sq. ft home (open concept) with full, rich sound.
Also works well with HomeKit and AirPlay 2.
Bonus points for also supporting Apple Spatial Music.

My ceilings aren’t that high but, regardless, the old homepods sounded better (more 360 degree-ish) and they don’t even have any upward firing speakers.
The Arc needs a sub and that combo absolutely blows the doors off of two HomePods. People always underestimate the need for a sub. It’s just upfiring Atmos that is subpar (on anything I’ve heard). I have discrete Atmos (dedicated ceiling speakers) as well in the home theater and that sounds fantastic. So good I don’t bother going to the theater anymore.

Just curious. What do you think of Atmos on the Arc?

I replaced a pair of 1st gen HomePods with an Arc last year when Costco was running a Sonos promo. The homepods were misbehaving a lot at the time (pre new HomeKit architecture) and I wanted something reliable. I even bought the special $100 bracket to mount the Arc right under my TV so it would all swivel in sync.

Thing is I wasn’t impressed with the Arc’s Atmos (it seemed weak/nonexistent). I wound up returning it and going with a couple of Gen 2 HomePods instead. I kept the Arc mounting bracket tucked invisibly behind the TV just in case….. ;) (that and I’d thrown out the box  )

What was I doing wrong? Any ideas?
Remember not every atmos mix is equal
