I'll take a new M3 13" MacBook Air to replace my M2 one....Best apple purchase in recent years.
Forgive me for asking, but - if it's the best apple purchase in recent years...why are you eager to replace it?

Best computer out there for consumers, hands down.

The M2 MBA is perfect. This is Apple butting up against the laws of physics... I don't see anything but diminishing returns on future iterations.

I got a 13", 1TB, 24GB RAM version, so it'll be the only Mac I'll need for 10 years, or until it dies (like my trusty, BELOVED 17" MBP).

Would have bought the 15" if it was available, but that may have been a mistake.

I LOVE the portability of this thing. It basically replaced my 12.9" iPad Pro, and I positively LOVE my iPad Pro.

Together, they're HEAVEN.

Are these deals increasingly because even the average consumer now thinks the base specs are last decade?
Deals are also there for the higher specs. The M2 Mac Mini for example also had the $150 discount for 32GB (up from 16GB) and 1TB (up from 512 and 256GB).
Get current decade specs according to your needs.

Look I love apple products and I cannot deny it. I just cannot believe that in 2023 apple still goes for such low SSD capacity wow. Really? 256GB? This was ok back in 2010, in 2023 I expect a machine to have 2TB - 4TB or greater, with new iPhones taking higher quality photos and videos the storage capacity in these laptops should be greater (That is just one example). All photos I have taken that I keep stored from 2010 to 2020 are about 480GB. I know this stuff is meant to be kept in the cloud or on a separate back up drive but lets say I want to back up my 1TB iphone on the computer to go thru the pictures, edit the ones I like etc etc. You will have quite a pickle with only 256GB - 512GB storage and this is for the casual user like me.

They're showing some good deals on a few 14" and 16" MBPs too, if you need a little more horsepower.

Edit: Only for another 36 hours.
