Deals: Amazon Marks Down New 16-Inch MacBook Pro to All-Time Low Price of $2,249 ($250 Off)

Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, 16-core GPU, 512GB SSD) has dropped to $2,249.00 on Amazon, down from $2,499.00. This deal is available in both colors, but Silver is beginning to see reduced stock so order soon if you're interested.

At $250 off, this is the lowest price we've ever seen on this model of the 16-inch MacBook Pro, which Apple updated last year. We typically track deals on the 14-inch model of the 2021 MacBook Pro more often, and this is one of the first notable markdowns on the 16-inch notebook in a few months.

These MacBook Pro models feature an all-new design for Apple's notebook lineup, including more ports, the removal of the Touch Bar, the reintroduction of MagSafe, a slimmer bezel, a mini-LED display, and M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Although there's no Touch Bar, there is still Touch ID support with the Touch ID button on the keyboard.

It’s a lot of computing for most people.
Yeah. I really just want a 16" MBP for my bad eyes without an M1 Max/Pro. It's crazy to go from a MBA $999 to 16" starting at $2500 just because I need a larger screen (I'm a contractor so I cannot depend on having a large external display in random network closets and desks where I work).

I just purchased a MBP 14" and within 24 hours found it severely underperforming. After talking with Apple support we realized I am hosed because 16 GB of ram is not sufficient for use of all the stock apps, and you can't just buy a Mac with more ram.
"you can't just buy a Mac with more ram". No idea why you're saying this, because Apple's website clearly allows you to buy a 14" MBP with 16, 32, or 64 GB RAM (though to get the 64 GB you need to pay an add'l. $200 for the upgrade from the Pro to the binned Max).

Maybe what you meant is that once you've purchased with a specific amount of RAM, you can't upgrade. But you're still certainly not hosed, since you said you found the issue within 24 hours, so you're within the window to return it and buy one with more RAM.

I think they could re-introduce the old generation 16 inch form factor with the new SoC for those who just want a larger display.

Excellent discount for those looking at the larger MacBook. Seems not much waiting period if ordered on Amazon.

You can't even get 16Gb MBPs before June.
I can pick one up in the morning. Maybe you live in a remote corner or something.
