The promotion is available on Apple's online store, in the Apple Store app, and at Apple Store locations in Australia. As usual, refurbished products are not eligible for a gift card, and the offer cannot be combined with educational pricing.

Apple's four-day shopping event will also be available in the United States, Canada, UK, and select other countries starting on Black Friday.

Black Friday is one of the few occasions per year that Apple offers deals on its products, but better deals are often available through resellers like Amazon, so make sure to check out our Black Friday roundup and best Thanksgiving Day deals for the latest discounts on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, accessories, and more.

Apple's gift card values in Australia are as follows:

  • A$70 for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone SE
  • A$35 for second-generation or third-generation AirPods
  • A$70 for AirPods Pro
  • A$105 for AirPods Max

I’m seeing $260 here in Canada, but I’m not interested in the iMac.
The gift card isn't offered on the 24" M1 iMac in the Canada online Apple store, only on the old 27" Intel iMac.

Planning to go to Apple Store tomorrow to buy Watch SE, the question is when I buy it can I use the $50 gift card for it right away?
If you’re talking about using the gift card to pay part of the Watch price, I’m going to guess that’s a strong “no”. There is no point in time when you own the gift card (which you will soon receive as a reward for buying the Watch), but when you still haven’t yet paid for the Watch. You’d be essentially asking to borrow a gift card from them for free.

Also consider that part of the reason for giving you a gift card, rather than just reducing the price of the Watch, is to get you to come back later and buy something else and put the gift card towards that purchase. If they were to let you use the card for the Watch, they’d end up with you making one purchase instead of two.

They charge you for the gift card, but the value of the gift card is deducted from the cost of the product that you're purchasing.

For example, if you're buying something for $1,000 with a $200 gift card, you get charged $200 for the gift card plus $1,000-$200=$800 for the product. The end result is you pay full price for the product but get the gift card for free.
Yes that’s right. I replaced my AirPod pros and was billed £199 and £40 for the voucher. That’s £239 which is a retail price but of course I now have a £40 voucher
