not surprising that the people who don't demand a lot from their podcast player do not demand a lot from their podcasts either.

Whats the best podcast app these days? Apple podcast app continues to be terrible
I’m a fan of PocketCasts because of the Mac App and Sonos integration, but I’ve also used Overcast and that was great too.

Whats the best podcast app these days? Apple podcast app continues to be terrible
Pocket Casts for me. Really great customization. I particularly like the different filter options to group downloaded episodes of multiple podcasts together or seperately, and the multiple sorting options.

A special mention for Airr though - its sorting and filtering are weak, but it has an incredible one-tap button feature to capture editable clips of the previous 30 seconds of audio, brilliant for saving important parts of interviews, quotations etc.
And then with another tap, it can convert the podcast audio into a text transcript for copy/pasting into other apps!

So when I'm listening to 2-hour conversations and interviews full of insightful points or great quotations, Airr helps capture/save all those things instantly, rather than having to re-listen later and try to find them, which used to be such a hassle.

All I want is for the app to stay in sync. Opening the app on another device will result in dozens, occasionally hundreds, of episodes changing to unplayed. I just don't understand why it is so hard for a "station" made of these simple rules (include all podcasts, only the unplayed ones) to stay in sync between my Apple devices.
