I can highly recommend CrossOver, that's a great application.

CleanMyMac... oh dear, not this again. I guess the MR servers don't pay for themselves. To anybody wanting to get this application, please may I suggest the free alternatives below from reputable companies who don't post fake reviews everywhere.

OmniDiskSweeper to identify what's taking up space on your Mac: https://www.omnigroup.com/more

AppCleaner to uninstall applications and their associated plist files: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/

MalwareBytes for malware detection that actually works: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac-download/

And if you want a "memory cleaner", turn your Mac off and on again to clear the RAM. Either that or don't obsess about memory usage. Free RAM is wasted RAM and high RAM usage is not a bad thing unless it's paging heavily to disk as a result. I'd much rather MacRumors promoted an article on what maintenance is actually necessary for your Mac and how macOS's memory management works, but hey. That's one less click to StackSocial.

CleanMyMac X is not worth much. Everything it does you can find for free with Onyx, MalwareBytes, and AppCleaner. You're basically paying for the cute GUI.
I got my parents to try it and it works really well. They somehow ALWAYS manage to slow their Macs down. I had them do the free trial and their Macs were as good as new. After that they got licenses for it and have never called me about their computers (2012 iMac and a 2014'ish MacBook Pro) being slow again. Free alternatives or not, this definitely does work.

Cleanmymac is pretty useful, but man now its a rental? I would have jumped on this bundle if cleanmymac was not a '1 year license'. I can't imagine why this tool requires annual licensing.

This...so much this.

CleanmyMac, shakes head, don't get it MR doesn't distance themselves from this crapware.

A mac (OS X/macOS) does not need maintenance, haven't done this in what, almost 2 decades.

Lifetime VPN for this amount, yeah right, next year they're gone.

Folx pro, increase your download speed, again, yeah right...and this torrent app is actually mentioned on MR...WHAT.

There's a few good ones though like crossover.
Not to worry, some of the software they're promoting might be dubious but at least StackSocial are a well rated com–

Before taking "advantage" of this deal - perhaps best to do a quick MR search of Clean My Mac.

I might be tempted by the lifetime VPN subscription @$599, but then I saw in the graphic that it's actually $499. Does MR get the difference? :-(
