This price is about $300 under the current price for a new version of the same computer available at Amazon, and $600 under the regular retail price of the MacBook sold from Apple. Buy with an American Express card and that will extend the warranty on it. I’m not sure by how much though. They’ll match a “manufacturers warranty” up to an additional 2 years. The question is which warranty are we going by here? The 90 day warranty from Woot which would extend the warranty to 180 days? Or Apple’s warranty for refurbished products which is 1 year? There isn’t any requirement that you purchase from the manufacturer directly to get the warranty so I suspect you could get away with going by Apple’s refurbished warranty. If it breaks outside of the warranty you just submit a claim to Amex and they send you a check for the purchase amount.
