Popular email app Spark was today updated to version 2.0.15, introducing support for Siri Shortcuts on iPhones and iPads running the iOS 12 update.
Spark has introduced a number of different Shortcuts that can do things like compose an email, search email, or open a folder, with a list available from the release notes.
- Open any folder: if you keep all your to-dos inside Pins, create a shortcut to this folder with a phrase like 'Hey Siri: "Open Pinned email in Spark."
- Search email: frequent travelers can create a shortcut for searching all emails from Airbnb/Booking.com to see your reservations.
- Compose an email. Create a shortcut for composing an email to specific people if you email them often. Next time, you'll just have to say: 'Hey Siri, email my team!'
All of Spark's Siri Shortcuts can be accessed by opening up the Spark Settings and selecting "Siri & Shortcuts."
Spark can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

PDF Expert is worth every damn petty on iOS and Mac. Scanner Pro as well. And Calendar 5. I'd give them more of my money once they implement creating forms in PDF Expert. All their apps work really well for me and my uses. I love them.
but i stopped using it, because it didn't work well on my apple watch. always told me to open the app on the phone to read the email...
so i went back to the iPhone Mail app and now i can read the whole e-mail on the watch without problems.
this also finally encouraged me to ditch Gmail (since push doesn't work with the Apple Mail app) and lord knows they got too many sources to collect my data already.
alot of services/websites to change my e-Mail, but i think it will be worth it in the end.
and now i stopped using Chrome too...
one thing led to another... ;)
Differences:
When an email gets sent to you, Spark will alert you right away. iOS Mail can take up to 30 minutes even with Push set to on. Sometimes when Spark tells me I've got mail, I'll check iOS Mail and pull down to refresh from the server and it still shows no mail.
When first booting up the phone, iOS Mail will alert to a new email immediately once the home screen invisible. Spark can take a lot longer.
Spark allows you to add as many attachments and pictures as you want (up to your max mail server allowed MB limit) by sequentially selecting them all at once. Super fast. But Spark doesn't allow you to place inline images in text. They're all dumped at the bottom of the message.
iOS Mail lets you create folders. So do most online email services. Spark does not. But once a folder is created in iOS Mail, it will show up in Spark.
Spark does not support zoomed type. There's no way to make the fonts bigger to read. iOS Mail in the phone settings does. So reading email with spark and composing it requires squinting at tiny tiny text. That kinda sucks.
But I still like Spark and still use it.
but it is still a privacy nightmare, because they get full access to your e-mails.
and one always has to wonder why they make it free.
