Apple Maps Lane Guidance Expands to Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Ireland and Poland

by

Introduced in iOS 11, lane guidance in Apple Maps is designed to let Maps users know which lane they should be in to avoid missing an upcoming turn or exit.

The lane guidance feature was initially limited to the United States and China when iOS 11 was first released in September, but Apple has been working to expand it to additional countries. Recently, the feature was introduced in Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, and Czech Republic.

With the addition of these five countries, lane guidance is available in a total of 19 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the United States.

The other major iOS 11 Maps feature, which adds speed limit information to the Maps app, remains limited to the United States and the UK at the current time.

A full list of Apple Maps feature availability by country can be found on Apple's website.

This would be great if Apple maps wasn’t, still ,after all this time, like Siri, almost completely useless.
Do you have any examples which can be replicated?
I have no issues with Apple Maps, but would be open to seeing these flaws everyone keeps talking about, i presume they can be replicated since it's so awful...

Wrong street names spelling in my area that had not been corrected since the introduction of Apple Maps. I have written countless times and still no update. Wrong routes for bikes in my area with no way to contact Apple. Just two examples. When people wanna see me at my place for the first time I ask them not to use Apple Maps since it shows a different address.
My experience is that if you use "report an issue" in Apple Maps for a POI issue, they'll address the issue within 48 hours and even send you a notification. But if you report a street-related issue, it never gets fixed. My guess is that Apple simply forwards these reports to TomTom who provides the maps. And apparently they don't care. When roads change, it takes 12-18 months in my country (Belgium) before it's reflected in the maps.
