Apple Australia's New Wedding-Themed Ads Continue 'Shot on iPhone X' Campaign

by

Apple Australia has published a series of new iPhone X ads to its YouTube channel showcasing the smartphone's camera being used at various weddings.

Titled "First Dance", the short ads continue the company's "Shot on iPhone" series by demonstrating the general quality of the iPhone X camera rather than highlighting any specific feature.

Of the four videos, three are 15-second spots that focus on a single nuptial event – "Meg and Ann-Marie", "Nick and Rob", and "Anthony and Ron" – while one minute-long ad includes clips from several weddings.

All of the ads feature same-sex couples tying the knot, following the recent change in Australian law to formally recognize same-sex unions.

The ads are set to the music "Never Tear Us Apart", as sung by Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett.

Nice ads. Didn't realize gay marriage in Australia wasn't legal until the end of 2017. Congrats on being able to be legally nagged to death.:p:D

/wife smacks back of head.

I mean congrats on being able to legally enjoy marital bliss.

As a gay guy, I’d be perfectly fine with never getting married if it weren't for the fact that in most countries, there are state and government benefits tied to it. Taxes, hospital visitation rights, etc. Benefits that should really be bestowed to any couple, no matter the religion or institution.

That said, congrats to Australia. I really wish we had public, nationwide referendums on social issues here in the US like they do in other countries. Instead, it’s done on a state-by-state basis because of states’ rights.

Also, nice ads. :)

It sucks that this needs to be labeled "political" just because there are forum members who will lose their **** when they see a gay couple in an ad. Ugh.

That is literally what it is. Lol.
[doublepost=1519609889][/doublepost]I like how the only time Apple ever shows white couples is in an ad celebrating gay marriage.
Yeah, I guess we'll have to leave that to every. single. other. company. on. the. planet.

Cry me a river.

Yep, up until last year marriages did not include gays in Australia, and it has only been fairly recently that much of the western world has chosen to move to a definition that includes them.
Wasn’t aware this was a language arts issue. I assumed it had something to do with bigotry and religious zealotry.
