Amazon's Annual Prime Day Kicks Off With Deals on Apple Products and Accessories

Amazon's third annual "Prime Day" has just kicked off, with Amazon offering 30 hours of "epic 'day of' deals on everything you're into." Deals will change continually over the course of the next day, and Amazon is expected to offer discounts on a range of products, including Apple devices and accessories.

The products that are discounted will be a surprise until each "Lightning" sale kicks off, so it's best to keep a close eye on Amazon's site if you're interested in a specific product. Some of the best deals can also sell out fast, so we won't be able to share all of the available deals, but we'll try to tweet some of the best discounts.

Amazon plans to organize deals around more than 20 themes, like pet lovers, gardeners, techies, artists, and more, which should make it easy to track down the products you're looking for.

Prime Day will last from July 10 at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time to July 11 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Prime Day deals will be available in 13 countries, including the United States, UK, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Japan, India, France, Germany, China, Canada, Belgium, and Austria. A Prime membership is required to take advantage of the deals.

Along with Amazon, many major retailers will be offering discounts on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple accessories this week, including Best Buy, Adorama, and B&H Photo. I continue to be amazed by the amount of free publicity and advertising that Amazon receives. CNN was littered with "articles" about the company. We wonder why the retailer sector is dying. Here you have a company that has not earned a dime in the first decade or more, didn't have to collect a tax until recently and continues to get free publicity. They treat employees like **** and have ruined a good number of suppliers.

And we call this "free market economy."

The worse part is that I still buy from them. A lot. Because if there is one thing that we, the American consumer, love the most is a good deal on something we probably don't need. :D
You complain about Amazon, and then you blame your own actions on "we". Either don't complain, or be the change you want to see. Just my personal opinion.

It wasn't as much a complaint as it was a social commentary.

It gets a lot of air time because a lot of people are very interested in it.

Retailers are dying because times are changing and the reasons to shop there are becoming less and less compelling. It sucks for them, but the world constantly evolves and if you don't keep up price-wise or service-wise, the brutal truth is you probably don't have a good business model. The amount of stuff I buy at Amazon is steadily increasing as they offer a huge selection and have made it so freaking easy to order.

I wish I needed anything during this sale but I don't. I started the one month free Prime trial and I will cancel it before the month is over because I just don't buy enough on Amazon to pay $10 per month.

I did buy a printer two weeks ago and paid for one hr shipping just to try it out. Good luck to those shopping during the sale.
