Walmart Offering $100 Discount on All iPhones, Including New iPhone SE

Starting today, Walmart is offering $100 off its selection of Apple iPhones, including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and newly released iPhone SE, making the already affordable device available at an even lower price point.

The discount applies to iPhones purchased through AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint and is available on devices bought using a monthly installment plan. The discounted price will be reflected through each customer's cell phone bill, with the monthly payments lowered by an appropriate amount.

Customers who want to purchase an iPhone eligible for the discount will need to do so in store, as AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint iPhones are not sold online. Walmart plans to offer the $100 off deal through the end of June.

These days public corps are run by a bunch of bean counters who's job is to make the books look the best they can so they can satisfy what we call the legal gambling casino aka Wall Street stock markets.

It use to be instant discount up front. then we moved to rebates which are mailed in 4 weeks. then 8 weeks. Then 12 weeks. Some are now 12-16 weeks. Now we introduce these discounts which are a smoke screen because you get paid a visa prepaid card which can't be used as pure cash but instead like a debit card. You don't even get these now you get the discount thru carrier billing cycle refunds. Which now can take up to 3 billing cycles.

These are all fake ass rebates and discounts because if it takes a whole 3 months or longer to receive your initial discount you really are paying up front for everything. These carrier's just want their books to look good every quarter as in no loss in paying out to anyone for anything.

this entire world is full of deceit. My motto is if you can pay cash for something like a phone, pay for it in FULL. Do not do any EIP, installment plans, etc. You can't afford the phone to begin with unless you have the cash up front. It's just ridiculous your can't save enough for this device you'd have to do some form of loan payment plan.

American finance education - only for corporate suit and tie business scam-men and Wall Street rapists. People really need to educate themselves on how to not f-themselves over in debt especially over something like a phone.

Because they aren't actually cutting the price, the carrier is giving a kickback in the monthly bill.

To that end, you can give them away for free for all I care. I ain't switching carriers.

Having visited and called several Walmarts in the DC/Baltimore area I can give you my miserable experience.. No Walmart associate even knows of the deal and the 16 GB SE is $448 and the 64 GB SE is $548. So, $100 off is really just $50 off. Of course, try finding a Walmart that even carries the 64 GB SE...IMPOSSIBLE. I really hope the media/internet calls Walmart out or perhaps verifies deals with the retailer/customers before posting such articles.
