Apple Shares Full Video of Today's WWDC Keynote Presentation [Update: YouTube Version Now Available]

With Apple's big Worldwide Developers Conference keynote wrapped up, the company has posted a full video of the event on its website, letting viewers who missed the keynote watch all the announcements on their own time. Apple also shared the keynote on iTunes (HD and 1080p) and should upload the full-length video to YouTube soon.

I don't often agree with Leo Laporte but today on his live special he got it right. He said the keynote lacked cohesiveness and it felt like Apple was just announcing a bunch of stuff and not really tying it all together. I agree. Take the new News app. Looks quite nice and I'm sure I'll try it out but what's the point of it? Is it Apple's way of saying Newsstand was a bad idea? Is there another purpose for it? And the Music portion of the event was painful to listen to and about 15 minutes too long. Jason Snell said on his podcast with Myke Hurley that the music section was the worst presentation he can remember at an Apple event. He said it was unfocused and self-indulgent. Which is a shame because Apple Music could be compelling but Cue and Iovine didn't sell it at all. It makes me wonder, did anyone at Apple do a run through of the music presentation. I can't believe the executive team could sit through a run through of that and think it was good. One thing is for sure, keep Jimmy Iovine off the stage. He's terrible.
