Apple Seeds OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Build 14C106a to Developers

by

Apple today seeded a sixth beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 to developers, just a week after seeding the fifth beta of OS X 10.10.2, and two months after seeding the first beta.

The new beta, build 14C106a, is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store and through the Mac Dev Center.

As with previous betas, Apple asks developers to focus testing on Wi-Fi, Mail, Bluetooth, and VoiceOver. Many Yosemite users have had some ongoing problems with Wi-Fi since the new OS was first launched in October, and a November 10.10.1 update did not resolve all of the lingering issues.

564mb on MBP-R 2014.

Why do people keep posting sizes of updates?

Not everyone has lightning fast connection.
If you need to know exactly how many MB, you probably shouldn't be doing betas. After all, the beta could easily have a bug requiring an even larger download to fix.

Get your **** together Apple.

I got tired of all the WiFi/Bluetooth issues on yosemite. Had to downgrade to Mavericks.

LOL I've been wondering the same.

Not everyone has lightning fast connection.
Knowing the size won't change that. On top of that the size is already displayed the in App Store. Pointless to post it here. ;)

Despite being 'free' Yosemite seems to be making some money for Apple as Mountain Lion (retailing at £14.99) is shown as trending on the UK store site :D:D:D:D

I'm a developer using the latest beta. It works fine. Yes, there are problems with handoff and personal hotspot but those were bound to be wanky features anyway. You can always just connect your phone to hotspot the old way.

I think the complainers are overreacting. I use my macbook air 2013 for software development, video editing, and audio production, and it works. It doesn't freak out and crash hard like the old days of OS.

For you complainers who insist on upgrading to the latest version of OS X while it's still on the .1 or .2 version and expect it to work flawlessly, I suggest you call

I hope I never need to work with you. A decent developer will acknowledge users' concerns and not mock them in such an infantile way.

I am also a developer. I have been using OS X for 8 years, and it is only now that wifi has become a total pain in the ass. Wifi in Yosemite is a major regression for many users. Do you think we're all posting because we have nothing better to do?
