Facebook Messenger for iOS Updated With Redesigned Interface, Phone Number Integration

by

Facebook today released an updated Facebook Messenger app that has been redesigned for iOS 7 with a simpler interface and a cleaner look for easier navigation.

The update also includes messaging via phone number, allowing users to send messages to people outside of Facebook, and there is a new icon that indicates which friends are logged into the app.

First thing it does is try to get at your contacts. Nice try, Facebook.

I have to say this iOS 7 has made other apps look really good. One was the tweetbot, then few other apps and now this! looks sleek and nice. :)

The facebook app was also updated and it now opens Messenger instead of showing you ugly chat heads.
