Apple Revises "What Makes An iPhone An iPhone" Ads

by

Apple has rereleased two new television ads, slightly altering the final tagline in a campaign it launched earlier this year.

The old ads, from April, ended with the announcer saying: "If you don't have an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone."

The new ones are much friendlier, telling viewers about iPhone features and noting they are "just one more thing that makes an iPhone an iPhone."

The new ad:

The old ad:

Thanks Jacob!

This article briefly claimed these were new ads, but we have revised it to note that they are remakes of an earlier campaign.

So they changed it from "Yep, if you don't have an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone" to "Just one more thing that makes an iPhone an iPhone."

Truly earth shattering breaking news.

The earlier ad was obnoxious and Apple changed it. That's interesting to me (the ad always bugged).

Your posts in this thread, on the other hand, do come across as truly pointless.

Why don't you whiners just leave the site? If you don't like the news/rumors that are offered, spend your time elsewhere. Some people enjoy this site and would like to keep it that way.

If the OP had done a basic Google search, or even followed Apple news, he would have known that these were posted months ago.

So arn just messaged me on Twitter saying that he's editing it and that there was some small changes. What are they? I can hardly tell the difference, but I haven't tried playing them side by side.
Post revised. They are new in the sense that they are remakes of an earlier ad. Notably, Apple changed the tagline that a number of people strongly disliked.
