I don't find that there's any spaces functionality missing in Lion, in fact spaces just got made useful for me:
I can see and interact with all my spaces when I activate expose - cool!
I can add and remove spaces whenever I want - just what I wanted!
And I can switch between spaces with a 3 or 4 finger gesture.

Apple, PLEASE, for the love of God, UPDATE the top Menu pull down bar!
Every time they try things like that, they get anger and outrage from the peanut gallery (http://goo.gl/553hp).

Agree on the first point; and probably not, since Safari is multi-platform. But lion will have it FIRST! :apple:

Ah yes, that makes sense.

Are there any actual real advancements made in Lion, or is it just a minor facelift? Judging from these videos im going with the latter.

I see no benefit in updating.
