Apple Employees Contribute to 'It Gets Better' Project

A group of Apple employees have released a new video contribution to the It Gets Better Project, a website and movement seeking to help LGBT teens to deal with bullying and other issues in an attempt to prevent suicides by sharing stories and encouragement about how their lives will improve as they get older.

The movement, which coordinates with a support hotline known as The Trevor Project, has garnered thousands of videos from people of all sexual orientations, including a number of prominent celebrities and organizations.

The new video from Apple's employees was released just ahead of today's observance of the Day of Silence, a national event seeking to bring attention to the bullying and harassment of LGBT teens. The six-minute video features a number of Apple employees, including a brief appearance by Randy Ubillos, Apple's head of video applications who may be recognizable to many observers from his on-stage demos of applications such as Final Cut Pro and iMovie at several high-profile Apple media events.

Apple is far from the only company whose employees have contributed to the It Gets Better Project, with groups from a number of other high-profile tech companies including Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Facebook, Yahoo, and Cisco having already shared their own videos.

Homosexuality is not something that's mentioned in passing in the bible. It's not like it was just thrown in there without a clear understanding of what it really was. How could God change his views on homosexuality and not change his view on fornication? Any sexual relations between unmarried people is a direct violation of God's commandments to reject fornication. The bible clearly defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman. If God does not recognize a marriage between two men or two women, how could homosexuals engage in sexual relations without engaging in fornication?

Pleas guide me to this passage that says marriage is only between a man and a woman. But really- who gives a crap? I don't believe in your religion and it should have no bearing on my life.

I'm not making it sound like anything. I'm explaining what the bible actually teaches. A man wishing to live in harmony with bible principles rejects homosexuality, which has everything to do with God. There's no other way to explain it. You're free to disagree as you see fit.
You are not using Jesus' words, but the words of someone who never met him, never spoke to him, never heard him speak. Why would such a man have authority to speak for your god?

Edit: You don't have to answer that. I realize it sounds antagonistic and I'm not trying to drag on the debate.
Let's put it this way- I'm assuming you've been in love before. Did you choose to fall in love? And did you choose to fall in love with that person, or did it just happen?

Now- knowing how rare love is, what would you think if a whole lot of people, including your family, rejected you once you told them about it, some even to the point of violence? How would you react? What would you do?

Well, that's how these kids feel, and it's not OK that they should have to feel that way. And I know how they feel because I was once one of them. And no kid should ever have to feel that way- ever.

You make it sound like you had dinner with him last night and talked about it. The real thing that has not changed, is bigoted man's view on homosexuality. It has nothing to do with God. God is merely used as justification for the bigotry in the first place.

Notice how God always agrees 100% with the prejudices of his followers? I always found that interesting.

We must have half a dozen people in here now who swear they and they alone know what "true" Christianity is, and I know those truths are not compatible, so could we just get the holy war started and be done with it? Let me know. I want to get some popcorn. I can't wait to see who's the lovingest and peacefulest and most Christlike as demonstrated by his ability to brain everyone else with a rock.

All personal opinion aside, the bible says that homosexuality is a detestable thing to God
It also says that slavery, genocide, rape and pillage are all acceptable things to "god". Take your pick, but don't expect anybody to take your personal choice of bible verses seriously.
