Mac OS X Leopard Ships to Customers, Launch T-Shirt Photos, Leopard Screenshots

Apple will be officially launching Mac OS X Leopard at retail stores worldwide at 6 p.m. local time. To entice early customers, Apple will be giving out free Leopard T-Shirts.

One (possible staff) T-shirt reads "Add a new Mac to your Mac. Introducing Mac OS X Leopard" on the front, and has an Apple logo on the back. (Note: one claim that this is the staff T-shirt, and that the customer one will look like the Leopard box cover) If you are planning on attending a launch event, you can coordinate with other MacRumors users in our Leopard Event Meetups forum. We encourage users to attach photos of their event in their respective local thread.

While there were a few early arrivals, the majority of Mac OS X pre-orders will be arriving throughout the day on Friday, October 26th (video of Leopard arrival in Japan). Our Mac OS X forum will be the best place post first impressions and get questions answered to potential issues.

We will try to highlight some of the more interesting screenshots and features of Leopard as the weekend goes on. A few interesting screenshots posted to the forums:

Multi-Page PDF icon - Pogue: "You can tell just by looking at a PDF files icon whether its longer than one page. The icon for a one-page PDF has a curled upper-right corner. But on a multi-page PDF, only the first pages corner curls down. And in the gap it reveals, you can see a tiny bit of the *actual* page 2 showing."
