MacRumors iPhone Blog, Forums, Reviews and More...
iPhone Blog
After the past few weeks of intense iPhone coverage, in just a few hours, the first of our readers will be setting up their iPhones. Since MacRumors.com traditionally covers breaking news and rumors, it only makes sense to provide our iPhone readers ongoing day-to-day iPhone coverage and use.
We've launched a new sub-blog at:
which can also be reached by the "iPhone" navigation tab at the top of the page. Our iPhone blog carries its own RSS feed as well as an expanded view of the iPhone discussion in our forum, including the latest photos from the iPhone forums.
iPhone Forums
To help organize the forum iPhone traffic, we've created a number of new forums:
iPhone News Discussion - Official blog/news posts
iPhone - General Discussion
iPhone Accessories - Accessories
iPhone Apps and Development - 3rd Party Applications
iPhone Meetups - for launch day (temporary)
Please direct posts to the appropriate forums.
Reader Impressions
We've also set up official threads for new iPhone users to post their experiences, to try to consolidate the information:
iPhone Unbox/Setup Photos - post your photos
iPhone First Impressions / Reviews - post your thoughts
Early Adopter Questions (coming) - questions other readers had about the iPhone
Threads will be open for discussion shortly after 6pm ET.
Post Photos
If you were at one of the regional meetups for the iPhone line, we encourage you to post your photos to your Regional Meetup discussion thread so others can see them. We would prefer you attach the photos to the thread so it will appear in our "Recent Photos" feed. In anticipation of this we've increased JPG and PNG attachments to ~1MB per image.
Meet Katie
While both longofest and myself (arn) will be providing updates to the iPhone blog, we've also recruited one of our forum users (katie ta achoo) to relay some real life iPhone experiences with an ongoing hands on review. We promised her we'd pay for her iPhone + contract and sent her off to stand in line at an Apple Store in Houston. Her introductory post is available now: Say Hello to Katie
