What's Next... iPod Updates?

5GB iPod supplies have been absent since January. Apple has been reporting that this is due to "high holiday demand".

Most recent hints have indicated that iPod updates are imminent... however, only preliminary info has been available. Hints of upgrades continue to trickle in (Tuesday?)... but again, nothing definitive.

New Toshiba drives seem to be the likely candidates for upgrades to the iPod line. iPods were last refreshed by Apple in July 2002 at MacWorld Expo New York with the introduction of the 20GB iPod.
