PDA Geek, and href="http://www.pdabuzz.com/">PDA Buzz) are
reporting that Palm may be charging for future OS
upgrades. Apparently the source of this rumor is from a
common source - an single anonymous email
That source claims that after Palm's spinoff, in an
attempt to please their new board, they plan on
charging for future OS upgrades for Palm devices.
If true, this affects all Palm users, of course -- but what
about Apple's rumored Palm-based device? Most
likely, Apple will have to follow along if they do end up
licensing Palm's OS.
