I use my home pod every night. I play apple music on it all night long without fail.
Mine sits in the front window of my kitchen, listen to it all the time. Home theater system in the next room, but for convenience at meals the Home pod is great.

Do people still use Homepods or smartspeakers at all?
Yes. Why is that a question?

Yes. Why is that a question?
100%.

Not so much as a smart speaker because Siri sucks.

But my HomePod 2s as a stereo system for my Apple TV, ps5 and Xbox series X.

My stereo minis in my room, not so much but are useful for alarms and controlling my lights and thermostat.
