Apple Releases iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 With Bug Fixes

Apple today released minor iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 software updates for the iPhone and iPad, respectively. The updates have a build number of 23E254, and they arrive a little more than two weeks after Apple released iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4.

According to Apple's release notes, the software updates contain unspecified "bug fixes."

The updates do not include any security fixes, according to Apple's website.

The new software can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings → General → Software Update.

Apple is already beta testing iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5, the next versions of iOS 26 that will likely launch later in April or in May.

The irony is they can turn it off with reduce transparency (besides other ways with customize Home Screen and tinted). But they won’t stop whinging.
No, reducing transparency is not turning it off. Turning it off would be a switch to disable transparency, completely. That also does nothing for the horrible shape-shifting borders around icons and widgets.

..and until then, I'm sticking with iOS 18.

Maybe they removed liquid glass 🤞
People need to move on from it, it’s getting old now, people are focusing on iOS 27, it’s not going away whether people want it or not

I agree that we need to move on from Liquid Glass, but we can’t unless Apple does.

Sorry ... not moving on. People will continue to make noise as long as it's as bad as it is.

Reducing transparency (and all the other available settings like Increase Contrast, Tinted Liquid Glass, etc) isn't the same as turning it off.
