Would be very good if Apple provides exact details on what is changing with the firmware update.

My initial observations:
Switching presets no longer causes black screen (switching works instantly and no issue with adaptive refresh rate)
Music sounds fuller in my opinion
Waking up from sleep appears to be noticeably faster
Early impression is automatic brightness is smoother and no noticeable flickering. Still need to test this more to confirm.

They added the Medical Imaging presets. Let's hope they also fixed some of the crash issues that other reported.

finally solved the issue: it has something to do with your current profile and some internal conflict within, creating a new volume and installing tahoe took about 30 mins and new xdr update finally showed up as 2.14 and update went smoothly. i then deleted the new volume and we're back in the saddle.

its not the monitor boys, its the base unit and current login/volume that cause issues for some of us

I think $999 and $1999 would be good prices. But Apple has to get $999 just for a stand.
I guess you are not aware of 5K monitors' prices on the market.
