I can't believe people are still complaining about it. It's the most underwhelming and subtle restyling ever. Most people will not even have realised anything changed at all. If there is something to complain about it's that this update was not bold enough, but since it is so minimal there is little to no point to have the option to disable it, as practically nothing would change. I hope iOS 27 brings much bolder changes to the interface.
You’re joking, right?

The white UI flashes alone are driving me me up the wall.

It's the most ... subtle restyling ever.
That's just straight up not true. I've had multiple non-techy friends reach out to me asking if they could turn it off because they legitimately hate how bouncy and shiny everything is now.

I always get some complaints about any change, but this is a whole new thing. iOS 26 adoption numbers compared to uh... every other ****in' year... show that too.
