Get Up to $199 Off Apple's M5 MacBook Pro on Amazon

Amazon today has dropped the price of the new M5 MacBook Pro to $1,449.00, down from $1,599.00. This is the 10-Core model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, and it's a solid second-best price on the M5 MacBook Pro.

Additionally, the 16GB/1TB M5 MacBook Pro has hit $1,599.99 on Amazon, which is a $199 discount on the notebook. Both models have estimated delivery dates around January 13, and right now we're not tracking any deals on the high-end 1TB model.

This version of the MacBook Pro launched in October and it comes with the newest M5 chip, which offers up to 15% faster CPU performance and up to 45% faster graphics when compared to the M4 chip. Who buys with 16gb these days... phones have that amount
Who? People that aren't coders, don't do AI, and aren't using their laptop to cure cancer. In other words, most people.

The 1TB/16GB is a pretty decent deal but I’d imagine most around here are holding out until the 16-inch line is released

Im bringing my M1Pro to an Apple Store on Sunday. I think it will need a new logic board which is going to cost a fortune. If that is the case, for the first time in over 15 years I might be wondering if I should go back to a Windows machine.
I looked at a HP AiO desktop with a 32” 4K display, 32GB and 2TB specs and I asked myself why Apple is purposely crippling the iMac with a 24” display in 2026, even a 27” would be an insult for the price Apple is charging.
