Beats Solo4 and Solo Buds Now Available in Walmart-Exclusive Colors in the U.S.

Apple's Beats brand recently rolled out two new retailer-exclusive colors through Walmart in the U.S., debuting the Solo4 headphones in Drenched Gray and the Solo Buds earphones in Ivory.

The Ivory Solo Buds have been available for about a month through exclusive retail partners in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, but availability has now expanded to Walmart in the United States, where they are priced at $69.00 and are available for delivery within just a few days.

Notably, Walmart is also the retail partner in Canada and the earbuds are still listed with pre-order status and estimated availability of mid-November there even though the listing went live and they were supposed to be available a month ago.

The Drenched Gray Solo4 headphones have also been listed through Walmart in Canada since last month, and availability recently expanded to Walmart in the United States as well. It does not appear that this color will come to retail partners in other countries, and similar to the Solo Buds, the September listing in Canada still shows a pre-order status with mid-November availability, while the U.S. is showing quick delivery times.

Walmart is currently selling the Drenched Gray Solo4 headphones for $129.00, a significant discount from the full Solo4 retail price of $199.95 and even the $149.95 pricing Walmart, Amazon, and select other retailers are currently offering on other colors.

Do people really want to have their Beats identify them as a Walmart shopper? I'm asking this for real. Does Walmart have the type of brand identity that people want to associate themselves with?

Is it really so far out to think that some people might just like the color?

Nothing like a special color to signal the cachet of:

Drenched Gray and Ivory. Yuck. I see the millennial’s obsession with everything “greige” is proliferating. And to be clear, I am one, but I hate this generational quirk so much. I’m proudly rocking the Cosmic Orange!

I also don’t get why Apple can make all of these colors for Beats buds but AirPods are forever white. I know people say marketing but come on, it’s 2025 everyone knows AirPods are the best and they sell so well just give us new colors already!

Nice to see it in more colors. However not so impressed with these new ones. Also would have liked to see it in more regions.

Do people (i.e. not kids) still care about what other people think about them? I grew out of that in middle school.

Plus, who outside of mainly diehard Apple / Beats fans will know that a certain color is a Walmart exclusive?

Piper Sandler positive on WMT, YETI, BBY after teen survey

On Wednesday, Piper Sandler released findings from its Spring 2025 Teen Survey, indicating favorable trends for Walmart, YETI Holdings , Inc., and Best Buy Co., Inc. The survey, which assessed the shopping habits of teenagers at Walmart and Target , revealed that Walmart has increased its share among upper-income teens, particularly in the apparel, beauty, and food categories. Conversely, Target saw a decline in popularity within the same demographic.

The survey, which spanned 43 states and included approximately 6,500 teens with an average age of 16.2 years, showed that Walmart's efforts to attract upper-income consumers are paying off.

The percentage of parents shopping exclusively at Walmart has increased across all income levels, with 24% exclusively choosing Walmart over 21% in the previous survey. Walmart also ranked as the number one grocery delivery provider among the average income cohort and third among upper-income households.
