AirTag 4-Pack Available for Best-Ever Price of $64.99

Amazon this week has returned Apple's AirTag 4-Pack to $64.99, down from $99.00. This is a match of the all-time low price on the accessory.

Amazon provides delivery dates as soon as today for Prime members at some residences in the United States, and you won't need to clip an on-page coupon in order to see this deal. If you're shopping for just one AirTag, Amazon has the AirTag 1-Pack for $24.99, which doesn't match the all-time low of $19.99 that we've seen recently, so you might want to hold off for now or consider stepping up to the 4-Pack deal.

... my point was more about the motivation to not mention it. ... Not an editorial decision I’d have made.
I would not presume to judge the motivations of another person -- but I obviously agree with your editorial comment suggesting that perhaps you would have preferring more information over less, as evidenced by the link I dropped.

There is a setting to disable that. Go the the Airtag in the Find My app and scroll down to "Notify when left behind" and toggle to off.
Sure -- but that doesn't account for my final comment. I have no desire to turn it off entirely, as that would defeat the purpose; I'd rather have it turned on and deal with the mild inconvenience of periodic notifications that I don't need, rather than turn it off and have no notification when I do need it.

For those of you who use AirTags, what are your thoughts on them? I'd like to hear some opinions.
They can be quite useful. Most of what I have to say would be generally positive; the only criticism I can come up with is this:

When you leave an AirTag behind at a location that is not your "home" or presumably some other address known to be associated with you, your iPhone will warn you that you've left the Tag behind. This is obviously useful in many situations, but it can be mildly annoying if it's simply in your spouse's car when you head home separately from a restaurant or the like... and sharing the location of that Tag with your spouse does not eliminate the warning. But better a warning you know you can ignore than a missed warning that you actually needed, I suppose.

Love mine! I'm prone to losing things such as keys around the house; these are invaluable.

I'd definitely wait for the 2nd gen.
