Uggh Mac Rumors.
15.7 will be released on the same day as 26.0, just like the last several years.
Simply because they have begun testing it does not mean it’s going to be released imminently.
Same goes for iOS 18.7 and macOS Sonoma 14.8 too.
This is a security update. They aren’t sitting on it until September.

Wow..interesting..I had no idea there's a 15.7 and the fact it will be released simultaneously with Tahoe is crazy!
Yep, it has been this way for quite a while now.
15.7 will be released on the same day as iOS 26, and will be updated throughout the year. For example 15.7.1 will likely launch alongside 26.1, 15.7.2 alongside 26.2, etc.
Then a year from now there will be an update to 15.8 that releases on the same day as 27.0.
Same is happening this year with Sonoma, 14.8 RC2 was also released today and will also release in September.
People denying this don’t realize that…
A: if there were a major security flaw that needed to be patched today Apple would do it with 15.6.1
B: Apple has been releasing these macOS RC build through the beta channel for about a year now.
C: Apple very much likes sticking to patterns.
X.0 in September
X.1 in October
X.2 in December
X.3 in late January
X.4 in late March/early April
X.5 in the third week of May
X.6 during the last two weeks of July
X.7 in September along with the new updates
X.8 a year later

How stable is the Safari 26 beta?
I didn't notice any difference to the version before in Beta 1. Beta 2 seems stable too but there is a small bug in the Extensions section, it was also in Beta 1 but not from the beginning. I think it started when I updated to 15.7 RC1 or later. Very strange.

The activation box is invisible sometimes it also is jumping always to the top where "Add Extensions" is now. The first external change I noticed.

I also have the Technology Preview installed, it doesn't have that bug. Strangely it doesn't have the standard version number anymore since the first Tahoe Beta, must be still 18.x. but with a newer build number than 26 Beta 2.
