They really aren't "on sale"

For several years now the MSRP has been boosted beyond where it should be so as to create these "it's on sale!" situations, often even right when they a product is first released.

It's all just pricing mind games and tactics
So tiring

I hate that Apple has devolved to this

$1299 for the 16/512 Air is really good.

These are phenomenal Macs. And they support dual displays if the lid is shut; our enterprise ordered 1500 of these when announced. It's the new Mac standard unless someone is a dev or has a verifiable need for a 14/16" Pro.

I remember when Macs rarely went on sale and when they did, it was for $50-$75 off. An M3 16/512 Air for $200 off is a good deal.

The MacBook Air has been $999 for a decade. That's what the 13" M2 sticker price is today. Apple is not 'boosting prices to create sales'.

I believe that Amazon, Best Buy, etc. are trying to liquidate the stocks of M3 Air before the M4 Air are released in a few months.

In any case, I have to recommend the Apple refurbished store for those that also want to get a great price.

Trying to decide if the M3 is worth the extra $100. M3 would be more future-proof, I think.
