Agreed. I actually have the green Series 7 and I regret it. Bought it on a whim because it was the only one available for immediate shipment at the time. Love the watch but hate the colour - wish I'd waited and got the silver one!

I do plan to try some different straps, though. I think it's mostly the strap (green sports band) I don't like, the watch body itself is ok.
There isn't a silver one, it is Starlight (which to my eye has a yellow/beige/light gold tint). I think people can see even that more clear now with the MBA M2 comparing Starlight to Silver. It is one reason I didn't upgrade to a S7 as all of my bands looked bad with it.

I briefly considered this, but as nice as the green model is, just not for me. If it had been the red model...

Though a new one is coming soon, this deal is really good. It is possible for Apple to even increase the prices of the upcoming watches.

I mocked the article on Amazon's “all-time low price” on the 64GB 2021 10.2” iPad, as it was a only a $30 reduction, a pitiful amount. See the other article and thread.

This is much more deserving of such labelling — and even the headline shouting “record low” can be excused or even justified.

A 30% discount — and over $100 — is worth telling people about and using a bolded headline!

Even better, though, would be to save such extreme prose for 30% discounts on M2 MacBooks (Air and Pro). Then, you’d be talking real money!

OTOH, these “huge” savings typically apply to only one model, in one color, and often not advanced ones.

Such hype generally leads to eyes glazing over. I usually just skip any headline about Amazon's amazing “all-time low” prices.

Interesting take on the AW. All we've ever owned in my immediate family are the aluminum watches. We buy them new, use them for 2-3 years and resell them on eBay after receiving an updated model. Two of us are still using AW4's, but one of them is starting to have battery life issues (not lasting a full day). I bought them but at a discount as new but "last years" models when the AW5 was out, they are nearly 3 years old. I was planning to see what the AW8 has to offer and then likely replace them with AW7's as I did 3 years ago.

I may take a peek at aluminum and ceramic models on eBay, thanks for the tip.
I hope you find something good!

For example.. you could get a stainless series 6 for about 250. Retail price brand new just one year ago? 750! Even if the battery is totally shot, you can get that replaced for just 80 bucks.

An aluminum series 7 brand new at 285 seems ridiculous to me in comparison. Sure, it’s a year newer and has 1mm larger screen. But the durability of a used SS blows any aluminum model out of the water. Anything with a sapphire screen will last you soo much longer.
