Google announced the new integration in a blog post, saying "with a direct connection between the apps, you can now access ‌Apple Music‌ content directly from the Waze Audio Player." Users should make sure they are updated to the latest version of the Waze app and have an active ‌‌Apple Music‌‌ subscription to integrate the two services.

Nope. Waze is the only one to steer me wrong. I pull a travel trailer so I need accurate directions so I don't end up somewhere I shouldn't and get stuck. On this last trip waze wanted me to get off the highway, take a bypass, and then get right back on the highway. For no reason at all. It's done that on the same trip 2 years in a row.

I'll run apple maps for nav and my wife will run waze or google maps on her phone as we travel. Waze has done some pretty strange routing for me.
Whereas apple maps I find actually works the best. Apple and google nav mostly agree though on my last trip during one stretch google maps picked a slightly shorter route saving only minutes but with way more turns and apple maps picked a more efficient route with only 1 turn but took a few minutes longer. This was very much preferable when towing. I use apple maps to navigate just about everywhere. On our recent trip to maui as well as our last roadtrip to calgary from Oreogn. Worked very well.
Sure that's your anecdote. I can't tell you how many times Waze routes me around a wreck or traffic that Google and Apple Maps aren't aware of either.

For me the live speedometer is Waze's killer feature. I'm so used to it that I can never switch to another mapping app full time. I know Google Maps has it for Android—never understood why they haven't brought it over to iOS.

I would say the majority does they should add music to the CarPlay layout
When the average age of a car on the road today is 12.2 years, that's not a majority.

I use apple maps to navigate just about everywhere. On our recent trip to maui as well as our last roadtrip to calgary from Oregon. And a roadtrip to san jose, hollywood, LA and back home to Oregon. Worked very well.

And I find it very helpful that apple maps also shows traffic lights and stop signs.
