The eight-episode series is described as a murder mystery comedy that's set at a high school reunion afterparty.

"The Afterparty" is a murder-mystery comedy set at a high school reunion afterparty. Each of the eight episodes will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character's perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller's personality.

Miller and Lord are a filmmaking duo known for "21 Jump Street," "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, "The Lego Movie," and "The Last Man on Earth."

Apple TV+ is light on the comedies, and "The Afterparty" will join titles like "Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet," "Central Park," and "Trying."

I love Miller and Lord. This is great news, hopefully. Has to be better than Central Park. God, that show sucks.
Really? I'm enjoying Central Park. It's light.

I'm a Central Park fan, but I stopped watching until all the episodes are released. I vastly prefer binge watching. Totally lose the flow of things when you can only see one show a week.

And also looking forward to murder mystery. Always fun.

I think that I prefer birdwatching in the real Central Park rather than the TV version.

I'm with the other dude, the humour isn't my cup-o-tea but really should be and I have a long history of disliking when shows like these do "musical" episodes and this is what this show is. I should've known though I do not get Bob's Burgers or its popularity.

But, that is the whole point, entertainment is subjective and I have no expectations of every show having to appeal to me. I'm sure Central Park will do just fine.

Finally, another comedy! Good job, Apple. Now let’s further relax your commitment to in-house content, as decent as it is.
