The Apple Refurb store offers the 2018 12.9 iPad Pro 64GB for $699, and it comes with the one year warranty and ability to buy Applecare+ for it. And returns are easy. And it goes through Apple's Refurb process including a new outer shell and battery (so no dings or scratches like Woot's). I got one earlier in May and it's flawless.

There aren't any 12.9s with that 64GB config in the US Refurb Store at the moment but stock can change quickly.

Woot for the past couple of months has been in great business looks like! It went from “I have never heard of them before” to tons and tons of weekly sales. And this one... looks like not a bad deal at all.
Woot used to be a lot cooler. Before it was purchased by Amazon, it would be one deal per day until it sold out, usually nerdy trinkets or tech products. It was possible to get really fun things or tech for good prices. Then they added categories and it became several daily deals. I used to look forward to getting the daily woot email.

Now it's just a sort of outlet for Amazon overstock and returns.

Same with ThinkGeek. Another cool webstore that used to be.

Lol this is pretty blatant deceptive marketing tactics. If you’re selling an iPad with physical wear and tear, then sell it as what it is: A USED iPad. It’s not refurbished at all. What could they possibly have done to “refurb” it? Wiping it off with an alcohol swab doesn’t count, but I’m sure they think that’s enough.

General FYI for all -

The 2018 iPad Pros have been in short supply over the past few weeks, with the 11” model being completely out of stock almost 3 weeks now and intermittent availability of the 12.9”, generally then only 1TB models and 512GB Wi-Fi. The 64GB Wi-Fi at $699 comes and goes really quickly, so people should not hesitate if they want one.
There was a 2018 IPP 11 with 1TB in the US Refurb Store last evening.

Exactly my thoughts. Note article language is that they have "inspected the refurb device ..." Big deal, I say, it doesn't mean much. I'm guessing it means they can turn it on. Save your money and go with the sure thing, a real refurb from Apple.

A 2 year old refurbished iPad Pro for $730 does not seem like a worthwhile purchase.
Especially since it's used-not refurbished.

I don’t get it. 10-20% off for a used piece of aging tech equipment that has dings and scratches?? Wtf. Forgive me if I don’t trip over myself checking out this deal. But another $200 and you get the latest and brand new device? The two are not comparable.
