Deals Spotlight: Apple's iPhone XS Max Smart Battery Case Drops to Just $59 at Amazon [Updated]

by

Apple may have just released Smart Battery Cases for the iPhone 11 lineup, but there are plenty of people still using last year's devices. If you're an iPhone XS Max owner looking to boost your battery life, Amazon has just dropped the price of Apple's Smart Battery Case in black to $59, more than 50 percent off of Apple's $129 list price.

The case is currently listed as in stock, but supplies may run out quickly so be sure to take advantage of the deal while it's available.

Update Nov 23: The iPhone XS Max case has sold out, but Amazon now has the iPhone XS Smart Battery Case in white on sale at the same $59 price point.

Really? Not everybody has the same experiences. Best Buy has a 4.3 rating with over 200 reviews.
Well said. A person has a bad experience and equates it to the entire supply chain, lol...

Worst Apple product I’ve ever owned. Stops charging reliably if you drop it once or twice. Happened to one and stopped working in a month, got it replaced under AppleCare, happened to the other and stopped working in 3 weeks. Gratefully amazon let me return past the return window.
All of the smart battery cases from Apple had a ton of 1 star reviews for exactly this.

I’m on my second one. Thankfully it quit working within the 1 year warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement is already starting to sporadically stop charging after about 5 weeks.

I love the concept, but they have some major problems with making what seems like a simple accessory.

Wow, I've been wanting to get this and boom..... Amazon comes thru. Ordered this and the AirPods Pro (also off retail) and used my Amex points.... what a great deal. I doubt black friday would be much cheaper.

It's a protection case with built-in battery. But many will break down within months (not even run out of warranty) or after a few drops, resulting the iPhone pops up an error message and of course cease its function as battery extension.

It's a $129 (without the discount) liability is what I'm saying. It protects the phone alright, but I don't want that expensive case to also break down within a short time. It's another thing to worry about instead of "insert and forget" that any phone case should be.

So like I said, because it's quite expensive and fragile, Apple might as well sell another protective case for the smart battery case LOL. More money and we get even more obese iPhone as a bonus.

Thanks but no thanks, mate. I'd stick to my Anker PowerCore. Even if it breaks, it's only $20 for 5x the capacity.
It’s a battery case not a protective case with a battery. Don’t be so careless with your device.

Thanks to both of you, I will be avoiding this cheap piece of junk then. I was seriously tempted to buy it, but if it’s that sensitive to drops and is that unreliable, then there’s no point in getting it at all.
