their return policy sucks.

https://expercom.com/pages/policies

you pay shipping, you pay 15% restocking, and open boxes are flat out not returnable.

good luck fighting for an exchange if you lose the panel lottery or have what you deem to be a defect that they wont agree is a defect.

ill pay the tax at apples education store instead for peace of mind.

I got mine Tuesday. I ordered a 2.4GHz, 32GB, 8GB VRAM model and its perfect and came shipped exactly the same as ones I've gotten from Apple. Couldn't be happier.

Woohoo! Finally got mine too (yesterday, the day before U.S. Thanksgiving). That's record time for an Apple shipment from China, by the way, way ahead of schedule (which was later than you'd have gotten it from Apple, of course). I unfortunately had a bitch of a time transferring my data to it, as I couldn't get any help on recovering from a failed migration, but after several 6 hour attempts, finally got it to work. Haven't had a chance to put it through it paces yet, though, as I'm still trying to convert all of my software licenses to the new machine.

Please let us know how it arrives tomorrow. Whether well-packaged, no major screen blemishes (stuck pixels or excessive backlight bleed), etc. Thanks!
Okay, reporting back as requested. My MBP was delivered today and in the box that I'm typically used to receiving, i.e. a cardboard box with a couple side supports holding the actual product packaging within. The MBP was of course in its original shrink wrapped box. No signs of damage to the outer or inner box.

Screen looks great and I have no complaints. Perfectly happy with my purchase.

Now migrating is going to be an altogether different experience. My mid-2010 17" must be jealous because it just hangs when setting up for migrating. So now I'm going to try to do a Time Capsule backup to an external HDD, and migrate from there. That will take forever to create. I use Carbon Copy Cloner for back ups but read that it is not a good idea for migrating.

Anyway, based on my experience at least, completely recommend Expercom.
